Evidence-Based Practices Overview

Doing what works in helping individuals and families receive evidence based treatment for dual disorders is important to the staff at WestBridge Community Services. We strive to use treatment approaches that have been researched and proven to work, such as:

  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Assertive Community Treatment
  • Family Education and Support
  • Contingency Management
  • Illness Management and Recovery
  • Medication Management
  • Self Help
  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  • Stages of Change
  • Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment
  • Supported Employment
Since 1987, the Dartmouth Center for Evidence-Based Practices has studied dual disorders and has helped providers establish programs based on evidence gained from research that has shown to improve the lives of adults with severe mental illness and substance use disorders. We believe that these practices should be available to all persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.
