Integrated Treatment for Adults experiencing Mental Illness
with or without Substance Use

“Few treatment programs in our entire country adequately treat both serious mental illness and substance use disorders at the same time. Earlier in my career, and in the program’s history, I was part of an effort to bridge these gaps, helping to build comprehensive integrated dual disorders treatment at WestBridge. In the early 2000s it was radical to use the same team in the same location to treat both conditions, while weaving in strong education and support for families. Today it remains rare, and it is gratifying to see Delia Hendrick, MD and the WestBridge team continue to develop this work and promote compassionate evidence based practices to help people with co-occurring disorders achieve mental, physical, and substance use recovery in a patient and family-centered environment. I am glad to have been part of the foundation and am excited by their results”
– Ken Duckworth, MD – Massachusetts Psychiatrist
