Why WestBridge

We understand the challenges of mental illness and substance use. Our highly-trained experts will support you with compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique journey. We focus on measurable progress and providing tools for a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Our Approach

At WestBridge, our treatment approach focuses on helping adults and their families experiencing mental health disorders with or without substance use thrive in recovery while improving overall health and wellness. Research shows that evidence-based clinical practices can lead to both recovery from these conditions and satisfying lives.

Our care model is based on family inclusion, integrated treatment, engagement and community.

Family Participation is at the Heart of WestBridge Treatment

Having a loved one with mental illness or dual disorders can be overwhelming. WestBridge believes that healing is most successful when family members are included throughout the treatment process.

You know your loved one. We empower families with active listening, knowledge, support and connection to other family members with lived family experience.

Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT)

When people experience co-occurring disorders, we understand the importance of addressing both mental illness and substance use disorders together in order to provide the best opportunities for true recovery. IDDT is a proven method that treats both conditions as primary illnesses, with simultaneous treatment, in the same location, by the same multidisciplinary team.

Milieu Therapy & Modified Therapeutic Community

Through evolving concepts of Milieu Therapy and Modified Therapeutic Communities, we have designed our whole environment to be therapeutic. Whether in our residential program, the outside community or one of our outpatient programs, our settings and interactions promote healing and personal growth. We believe, through shared responsibility and connection with others, we can inspire lasting therapeutic change.

Supported Employment and Education

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is an evidence based model of supported employment for individuals with serious mental illness. By supporting individuals in finding and maintaining competitive employment – based on their personal preferences, strengths and experiences – we are able to see positive impacts on their sense of belonging, accomplishment and self-esteem. We also offer supported education which is behind the scenes or side by side support.

Alumni Program

“…We hope to fulfill our mission and be a beacon of recovery and wellness in the lives of those we serve!”

Engagement with an alumni program following treatment can help enhance long term recovery.
Our Alumni program offers a therapeutic environment to current and former Participants through connections with a social network that promotes learning how to have fun in recovery.

Through 1:1 engagement, a residential peer to peer group, quarterly alumni various events, alumni/participant events, games, contests, monthly self-help/mutual support meetings, and a private Facebook page, we offer a fellowship of adults engaged in the joys of recovery. Members choose their level of engagement and are encouraged to help shape the program through the Alumni Council.
